It has been announced that Dreamworks has acquired the rights to Nancy Holder and Debbie Viguie's Wicked. Writers Aaron and Matthew Benay are already set to adapt the book. Personally, I have been meaning to read this series, but have never gotten around to it. Guess it will be going up on my TBR pile.
Anyone looking forward to this?

What ISN'T becoming a movie lately?!
I haven't read this series either but I always pass them at Barnes & Noble and it keeps nagging me o_o;
I've never read it. Thanks for the news :)
If Dreamworks does it right, it'll be a great movie. If they don't, well, there's lots of movies that fall into the "don't do it right" category.
I hear ya...what isn't a movie...especially paranormal. I don't see this making a very compelling movie if they take it the Twilighty teen angsty movie - but they could do it creepy which would be cool.
This sounds like it'll be a good film. I want to read the book.
Wow, Dreamworks, that's great. I hope they do it justice. Still have to read the series. I shall bump it up on my list. :)
Great news!
yay! Super psyched about this!
Ooh, this is exciting! Hopefully the directors can do the job right.
It seems like every book is being made into movies nowadays! I like it though :]
Haven't read this one either but I guess I'll have to add it too
I'd be interested in seeing a movie of this. Then again, movies seem to just ruin even the easiest of plots for books, so I'm always cautious. I tried to read the book -it seemed really interesting- but the way the book was written was clumsy in my opinion and I just couldn't get into it. I reviewed it on my blog if anyone is interested.

I'm excited. Hope it turns out great!
