In My Mailbox is brought to us weekly by the lovely Kristi of The Story Siren. Before I jump into what I got this week, I would love to address some of the controversy that IMM has recently undergone. The range of feedback I have seen ranges from the event is just innocent fun to it only festers jealousy among bloggers. Personally, I view IMM as a wonderful way help our blogging community as well as giving bloggers a chance a networking. I cannot begin to tell you how many new blogs (and books) that this event has introduced me to. That being said, I do understand the flip side of the argument. And I apologize in advance if any of my posts have ever come across as boasting or bragging since this is not my intention at all. However, if you have any feedback (negative or otherwise) regarding my posts, let me know.
This week for review I received:
Bitter Night by Diana Pharaoh Francis
The Duty of Love by Ronald Neal Green
The Dark Matter Directive by D. Charles Wilson
Alice at Heart by Deborah Smith (e-book)
Moonstone by Marilee Brothers (e-book)
Library:
Another Faust by Daniel and Dina Nayeri
Tempted by P.C. and Kristin Cast

I want tempted i should really make a stop to the bookstore.Looks like a good weeks worth enjoy.
Have fun reading the books you got.

I don't see how or why IMM has garnered so much negative feedback. I mean, if someone is blatantly throwing out the fact that they received "such and such" a book for free/review/etc, I guess I could see the annoyance. But in my opinion, it's just making a mountain out of mole-hill. Anyway, I have never taken your IMM post (or anyone's, for that matter) as a sign of boasting. I've come across quite a few new discoveries that way.
*ends spiel*
Looks like a good haul. Happy reading! :)
Oh dear, hope you haven't been getting mean mail. :(
I'll take this opportunity to say: you have a fantatstic blog and are an awesome blogger!
Haven't heard of some of your books but Tempted is definitely on my list for Santa. Enjoy!
I want to read Another Faust too... hope you enjoy your books! :)
You are one of the nicest bloggers I dont think any of your posts are braggy I think new bloggers just really want review books and some dont understand how much time and hard work goes into a blog that gets noticed by publishers. Or that fact that some ARC's are unfinished products-
Happy Reading....:D
I get what you are saying about IMM being braggy - sometimes I'm even jealous - and I get plenty of arcs! It just makes me want that book even more though and much more likely to go out and buy it when it comes out! :) I haven't had any negative comments on my blog yet, but it will probably happen some day. I'm not that worried because, while I get quite a few arcs, some are contest wins, some are borrowed from friends, and others were offered. I ask for arcs and review copies occasionally, but not because they are free, but because I want to promote the book and don't have access to it. If it is a great book, I'll definitely be buying it - just so I can give back to all the wonderful authors!
Okay... enough babbling! :)
