This is my second challenge for the year. I love visiting my local library so I am hoping that I have no problem keeping up with this one. The challenge is hosted by the lovely J.Kaye over at J.Kaye's Book Blog. Here are the rules:1. Anyone can join. You don't need a blog to participate.
--Non-Bloggers: Post your list of books in the comment section of the wrap-up post. To learn how to sign up without having a blog, click here.
2. There are four levels:
--The Mini – Check out and read 25 library books.
--Just My Size – Check out and read 50 library books.
--Stepping It Up – Check out and read 75 library books.
--Super Size Me – Check out and read 100 library books.
(Aim high. As long as you read 25 by the end of 2010, you are a winner.)
3. Audio, Re-reads, eBooks, YA, Young Reader – any book as long as it is checked out from the library count. Checked out like with a library card, not purchased at a library sale.
4. No need to list your books in advance. You may select books as you go. Even if you list them now, you can change the list if needed.
5. Crossovers from other reading challenges count.
6. Challenge begins January 1st thru December, 2010.
I am going to try to make the Stepping It Up level. Wish me luck!

Oh this sounds fun, and I can do it even though I dont' have a blog! I'm going to sign up. Thanks!
Wow... this one is right up my alley!!! I love supporting my local library!! I will have to check out the challenge and participate.
I signed up for this one as well! Go to the library at least once a week, so couldn't resist. Good luck, and have fun with this one!
Cool challenge! I don't think I"ll be able to sign up though. Small town library=slightly scary. Good luck! =)
With yesterday's article about more job losses at our public library, this is a great challenge! Good luck to you.
My local Libraries are not very good
I've found even with small libraries, tranfers are fairly expeditious...and books can be renewed online. :) Just a thought from an Eng teacher who has heard all the excuses in the world for NOT taking on a reading challenge!
My husband and I will take on "Just OUR size" since we also read lots of toddler novels with our son.
Sooooo sorry to take so long in getting over here to welcome you to the Support Your Local Library Reading Challenge! Love the library and love this challenge. So glad to have you join.
Also don't forget to not only support your library by reading but also donating any old books you have to your local friends of the library! Any books not able to be used in the library are typically sold at their used book sales. To help finding a local library that hosts book sales, I use booksalemanager.com
